Our Hotel Receptionist Course is designed to provide you with all the training and preparation, both academic and practical, so that you can achieve your ultimate goal, working in the reception department.
This course includes internships, so upon completion, you will be ready for immediate incorporation into a job in the hotel sector.

Course duration

80 hours of theory + internship in a hotel establishment:

The minimum number of hours of practical training is 160 hours and the maximum is 480 hours.
The number of hours of the internship is determined in the personal interview between the student and the hotel.

What are you going to learn in this course?

Analyze the organization and most frequent functions of the reception departments, justifying organizational structures appropriate to each type of establishment.
Analyze the information management procedures at the reception, exploiting the own computer applications and justifying their use in the different types of accommodation.
Analyze the processes of the reception department and apply the appropriate procedures for the correct provision and control of the services that are inherent to it.
Develop collection and billing management processes, applying the appropriate procedures and operations for their implementation.
Analyze the security service of lodging establishments, relating the organizational structure and security contingencies with the applicable security elements and measures.

Practices

The duration of the internship will vary depending on the agreement reached in the personal interview by the student with the person in charge of the hotel, with the minimum established hours being 160 hours and the maximum being 480 hours.

What can the student choose regarding her practical training?

Free choice of geographical area.
Full Time or Half Time (according to needs).
Choice of Joining Date: the most common thing is to do them as soon as the theoretical part is finished, however, the student has 6 months to choose to start them.
Accommodation and food for those who prefer to leave their city.
3, 4 and 5 star hotels and first class hotel chains.

Our methodology

You will have an online platform where you can carry out the theoretical part, with access 24 days a day, 7 days a week, so that you can organize yourself according to your needs.
You will have two essential figures; a tutor and an expert teacher in Hotel Reception: they will assist you electronically to advise you throughout the entire process, resolve all your doubts, explain the subject, etc.

2.1. Bar dining room kitchen office.

UD3. Information Management in the Reception Department.

3.1. Internal and external information circuits. Documentation derived from the operations carried out at reception.
3.2. Obtaining archive and dissemination of the information generated

4.1. Description of operations and processes during the clients’ stay.
4.2. Analysis of night service at the reception.
4.3. Carrying out registration and entry operations for clients with or without reservation and group clients, as well as arrival preparation activities.
4.4. Use of the corresponding reception management computer applications.

UD5. Billing and Collection of Accommodation Services.

5.1. Differentiation of the various payment methods and their forms of application.

5.2. Analysis of billing and collection operations (both cash and credit) of services or clients through manual and computerized procedures.
5.3. Daily closing.

UD6. Security Management in Accommodation Establishments.

6.1. The security service: equipment and facilities.
6.2. Identification and description of procedures and instruments for the prevention of contingencies.
6.3. Description and application of protection and contingency prevention standards
6.4. Organization of procedures for action in emergency cases: security and emergency plans.
6.5. Applications in simulations of action procedures in emergency cases.
6.6. Justification of the application of ethical values ​​in cases of accident.
